Best breakfast in Fairmont! Love coming here for breakfast. Locally owned and very popular restaurant since 1958. Love the omelets with spicy demus sausage. Love that the use locally raised meat. Also the toast is amazing- many different kinds of bread choices. Place gets busy so you should get here early or there may be a wait. If your in the Fairmont area or just passing through- make sure you stop here. They are also open for lunch. Only downside would be parking- can be hard to find a space since parking is limited. Also they only accept cash so keep that in mind.

A wonderful family restaurant with great food, service, and prices! You will not be disappointed. Their homemade sour dough toast/bread is one of my faves! Our sons love the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel! Whether you order lunch or breakfast you’ll be very pleased and full!

Delicious food. Not a single thing we ate was of bad quality. Wonderfully cooked eggs and bacon, great toast, great hotcakes and French toast, delicious chocolate milk. No complaints. [Update] 6 months later, and our second time eating here as we continue to enjoy it thoroughly. The Demus hot sausage was packed with flavor and spice. The over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was perfectly crispy. Their chocolate chip hotcakes were wonderful and their blueberry hotcakes maintained a perfect balance of sweetness. Once you add the syrup, it becomes difficult to stop eating them. We especially recommend the McAteer Sampler, as it lets you try a bit of everything. Their standard coffee was great, however their French Vanilla Cappuccino was a bit too sweet and tasted less like coffee. Also, their home fries w/ peppers and onions were nothing to write home about. The restaurant had the vibes of a comfortable family diner, and their waiting staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating. Overall, this was another wonderfully enjoyable brunch, with good food, and good conversation. We will most certainly be coming back.

Bakery/restaurant. The pies looked really good, but didn’t get a chance to try them. Ate breakfast there, and pretty good. Good quality, bread, gravy, and a well seasoned crust on the country fried steak.

Had eggs and sausage which was good. The waitress was very pleasant and she was happy and humorous. Great attitude which is missing in a lot of restaurants these days. I pray to see more like her.
